Copyright in Marie-Louise’s work and that of her mother Henriette and brother Karl, wherever it physically resided, was vested in the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust. On 10 June 2025, the Charity will assign that copyright to the Tate Gallery (‘Tate’) as follows:
This applies to all works by the following whether artistic or literary, wherever they are held.

Artistic copyright expires 31 December 2066
Literary copyright: 31 December 2066 - Henriette von Motesiczky (1882-1978)
Literary copyright expires 31 December 2048 - Karl von Motesiczky (1904-1943)
Literary copyright: 31 December 2039
From 10 June 2025 a copyright credit should be placed next to images of the relevant works saying “© Tate”.
All rights of whatever nature will be reserved by the Tate Gallery (except, of course, where statutory exceptions apply), and all requests for further reproduction should be made to tate.images(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)tate.org.uk
