Head of National Programmes at the British Museum, formerly Head of Prints and Drawings. Expert on prints and author of numerous books.
Julian Chadwick
Educated at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe and Christ Church Oxford where he read PPE. Julian qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and has been a Partner since 1986. He has specialised in Charity and Trust law. He is legal adviser or Trustee to various charities and having been appointed to the Board of the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust by the Charity Commission, he was elected Chairman by the other Trustees.
David Scrase
Educated at Westminster School and at Pembroke College, Oxford, where he read Chinese. Scholar on the Sotheby's training scheme, he worked for the Sadlers Wells Opera and Dame Margot Fonteyn before joining the Department of Medieval and Later Antiquities at the British Museum. Transferred to the Department of Coins & Medals and then moved to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, where he is currently Assistant Director, Collections and Keeper of Paintings, Drawings & Prints.
Sean Rainbird
Has been a trustee since the inception of the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust. He got to know Marie-Louise von Motesiczky while working as a curator at the Tate Gallery, researching the three paintings owned by the museum. He is a specialist in German art, organising exhibitions on, among others, Max Beckmann, Joseph Beuys, Wassily Kandinsky, Rebecca Horn and Gerhard Richter. He left the Tate in 2006 to take up the post of Director at the Staatsgalerie in Stuttgart.
